Adoption Requirements.
Are you prepared to accept another member of the family that might
weigh up to 12 stone and be very clumsy?
Can you cope with 'little' accidents, the odd mess and maybe chewing?
Have you permanent floor space, in a warm area, 4ft x 6ft for a bed for a Great Dane to rest/sleep?
Do you have 5/6ft fencing, well maintained and escape proof for the
Great Dane and entry proof for children?
Are the gates on you property secured and lockable?
Can you feed a Great Dane at the correct height and leave water at
that height 24/7 inside your house.?
Can you never leave the Great Dane for longer than 4 hours?
Can you walk/drive your Great Dane to a secure dog play area within 15 minutes of your house?
Can you or a member of your family take a Great Dane for a walk, safely
and under control, at least 2 times a day?
Are you capable of training a Great Dane or prepared to go to training classes?
Are you prepared to pay £25 per month to insure your Great Dane?
Are you aware that it can cost you more than £2.50 per day to
appropriately feed your Great Dane?
Think about these things, owning a Great Dane is a giant responsibility and
takes a lot of time and effort.
